K-M-A-S Radio: Dress Rehearsal!

Tonight was the final dress rehearsal for K-M-A-S Radio!  Call was at 6:15, but Mom, Nick and I got there at 4:00 to help Mrs. Beilicki finish setting up.  This involved setting up the prop table, adding things to the stage, and got the dressing rooms set.

Around 5:45, we were all set, so I went and ate my dinner (soup...  I have a cold) and ran lines Nick and Kevin.  After that, I figured I should go get into my costume and fix my hair.  I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them, since I didn't get a chance to take one of me tonight.  I fixed my hair with a brown and black bandanna in the "Rosie the Riveter" style.  My dress is knee length, short sleeved, with a light brown flower print all over it.  It also has gold buttons running all the way down it.  For shoes, I am wearing my tan character shoes.

Around 6:45, almost all of the Classic Players were ready and waiting, so we played some drama games to warm up, including Zing, Same letter sentence, Same letter paragraph, and some projection games.  Then, it was time for rehearsal to start.  The children's choir and Young Thesbians went first (and did very well).  Then, Concert Choral sang.

That meant it was finally time for the Classic Player's play to begin.  We ran a couple scenes that were later on in the plat first so that the children's choir (which is singing a song during the play) could leave.  Then, we ran the show from the top!  It went much better than I expected.  Sure, there are still a couple rough bits, but with the amount of rehearsal time we are given (45 min, once a week!) I think we did a pretty good job!

Tomorrow, the show opens...  :)
